Maryland bridge Indications:
• Single Tooth (Sometimes used for 2 to 3 teeth)
• Typically Used for Anterior Cases
• Minimum 1 mm clearance from opposing dentition.
Protocol:
Mesial/distal contacts should be made parallel at the incisal or occlusal half of the tooth. Place a small rest seat in the cingulum of anterior abutments. A .5mm deep pin prep can be used. Place a mesial/distal occlusal rest on the posterior abutments. Remove undercuts or bulges from the lingual. Take the impression, shade and send to the laboratory.
